Executive overview

Security governance, IT assurance and ISO/IEC 27001 readiness, anchored in how your organization actually operates.

Cybersecurity has become a governance matter as much as a technical one. Boards, audit committees, regulators, customers and auditors increasingly expect evidence that information security risk is identified, owned and managed, and that IT controls operate as described. Many organizations have invested in tools without a clear framework for deciding what matters most, who is accountable and how effectiveness is demonstrated.

Our practice brings together cybersecurity governance, IT audit and assurance, security improvement programs and ISO/IEC 27001 readiness. We work alongside CIOs, CISOs, CFOs and internal audit to establish proportionate governance, test IT general controls, prioritize remediation and build an information security management system that reflects your scope, risks and resources.

We are an advisory firm, not a certification body. We prepare organizations for external audits and certification, and coordinate specialist providers such as penetration testers where technical testing is required. The aim is durable capability: controls that your teams understand, operate and can evidence long after the engagement ends.

Challenges we address

  1. 01

    Unclear ownership of security risk

Security decisions sit with IT by default, while business owners, risk functions and the board lack a shared view of which risks are accepted, treated or transferred.

  2. 02

IT controls that cannot be evidenced

Access reviews, change approvals and backup tests may happen in practice but leave little reliable evidence, creating friction with external auditors and recurring findings.

  3. 03

    Security investment without a roadmap

Tools and projects accumulate in response to incidents or audit points, without a prioritized plan linking spend to the risks that matter most to the business.

  4. 04

Growing third-party and supply chain exposure

Cloud providers, software vendors and outsourced operators hold sensitive data or critical access, yet due diligence and ongoing oversight remain inconsistent.

  5. 05

Customer and regulatory expectations of assurance

Tenders, partners and regulators ask for structured evidence of security management, often referencing ISO/IEC 27001, before the organization has a coherent framework in place.

ISO/IEC 27001 Readiness: What Leadership Teams Should Expect

ISO/IEC 27001 certification is a management commitment before it is a technical project. This guide explains what the standard requires, how the certification process works and what leadership teams should expect along the way.

Frequently asked questions

Are you a certification body for ISO/IEC 27001?

No. We provide readiness and advisory services; we do not issue certificates and never guarantee certification. Certification is granted by an accredited certification body following its own audit. Separating these roles protects the independence of the certification process.

Do you perform penetration tests?

Our focus is governance, control assurance and management systems. When penetration testing or other technical testing is needed, we help define the scope, coordinate a specialist provider and integrate the results into your risk assessment and remediation plan.

Who should sponsor a cybersecurity engagement internally?

Typically the CIO or CISO, with executive sponsorship from the CEO, CFO or COO. Where assurance is the objective, internal audit or the audit committee is often involved in setting scope and receiving results.

How do you work with our internal IT and security teams?

We work alongside them, not around them. We rely on their knowledge of systems, agree findings with control owners before reporting, and design controls they can operate without permanent external support.

Can you help us respond to customer security questionnaires?

Yes. We help you build a consistent, evidenced set of answers based on your actual controls, and identify where gaps should be addressed before making commitments to customers.
